Opening:
The sheep has given us his wool
And plants the color bright
Man forged needles out of steel
For me to knit by golden light
My fingers that knit, embroider,
crochet
Can sew the seeds or cut the hay
They cast a seam or sew a stitch
They hammer or nail or dig a ditch
They can create an object of worth
Of color, of beauty of wonder of
mirth
So let us go to work right now
And sew a stitch both me and
thou.
Closing:
Now our time is over
Our work for now is done
Today our hands have served us well
Head heart hands are one
