Lavender Dolls

The local paper is coming to interview the class about the lavender dolls we made for the orphanage in Haiti - exciting. We missed the Hearthstone village troupes going over this summer, so were in luck that we still have the dolls. By the end of the year the little ones should have them tucked into their tiny hands.

Eighth grade

I've made a sewing area but, can only use it once a week for now, so some children will start by knitting. This will be great because there are so many new students and they are excited to knit. I made up this pattern as a learn to knit/purl project. It's a take on a 1st grade project I do.

Project for K-2

Wonder if I could have the children do this as a mother's day present - or have a handwork group for parents to do this for their children.

Wooden Toys

These are the most beautiful hobby horses and dragons I've seen, what a fun idea for a kindergarten project. If a parent cut out the shapes and the children sanded them and painted. Or maybe for 8th grade in woodwork to do as a gift for the kindergarten - hmmmm.....

Waldorf Doll Hair Ideas

Looking for ideas for some doll shirts for boys that are less complicated and more beautiful - happened upon this site, love the hair.

Verses

I really like the verses on this site - try to fit some of them into my classes.

Student Cross-Stitch Examples

The fourth grade worked very hard on their cross-stitch pillows.

4th grade - 2010-2011

Those cute fourth graders have finished their cross-stitch pillow and our lovely Uta has turned them into pillows for them. The pillows turned out gorgeous!
