String games

Great tutorials by this girl on a variety of string games.  Our second grade is LOVING the ones I've been bringing into handwork class.

Zoo exercises

Important zoo exercises for children - 2nd gradehttp://www.movementforchildhood.com/zoorobics.pdf

So important to bring these in 2nd - they begin to not want to do them in 3rd.

Third grade crocheted hat

A finished third grade crochet hat.  I love the added earflaps and pom-pom.

Working on the felted slippers

handwork room

My new handwork room is shaping up.  I can fit half of the 8th grade in for sewing on the machines and 1/2 the 7th grade for hand sewing their dolls.

Opening days of 2nd grade

                2nd grade Form Drawing -

My little boy in the 2nd grade reading corner

I unexpectedly taught the 2nd grade for a few days at the opening of school, so I whipped out a quick, cute blackboard drawing the night before.

Jean Paul Gaultier, exhibit, San Francisco

The Gaultier Exhibit at the De Young museum in San Francisco was awesome.  He had faces projected onto all the manikins.  Some where speaking or singing.  Many where looking around.  It was really a treat.  Just a few of my favorites.

He was the designer for many of Madonna's costumes, this was from that time.

This was made entirely of tiny, tiny beads.  I didn't know it till I went around a second time and got up close.  AMAZING.

Knitted Wedding dress- drool drool

This is totally my style.  I need to replicate for my next climb up Everest.

Little Ones

I made 42 little ones - Jeez Louise - that was a lot of time, effort and love!!

Applesauce making day on the Ranch

Apple-Sauce making day on the ranch, and little ones hiding in the corn.
